Terrapin STARS

STARS College Network

What is STARS?

The Small Town & Rural Students (STARS) College Network is designed to support students from these areas in exploring higher education opportunities that align with their passion and interests. From pipeline programs and application assistance to on campus events and virtual tours, STARS is seeking to pave new roads to help reach students in rural communities.

How is the University of Maryland (UMD) involved?

UMD is one of 16 of the nation’s leading universities and colleges participating in STARS and committing to redoubling their efforts to engage, support and build pathways for students from small-town and rural America. STARS College Network member institutions are dedicated to bringing the nation’s best and brightest, no matter where they live, to a school that is the best fit for them.

How can you participate in Terrapin STARS?

We will continue to update this page as UMD's Terrapin STARS events become available. In the meantime, we encourage you to join our mailing list and check out our calendar for a listing of admissions events.
