Daily Visits

We have created a variety* of options for you to visit UMD. Choose the one that best fits your needs or try them all!

To ensure the wellbeing and safety of our guests and campus community as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that all registered individuals (and their guests) abide by the following guidance. UMD's guidelines are aligned with federal, state and county guidelines for K-12 guests participating in events and activities on-campus.

In order to participate in a Terrapin Tour, Maryland Information Session and Tour, or a Group Tour, you must agree to:

  • Abide by the guest limitations for the type of visit you register for.
  • Show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative PCR test taken with 72 hours of your scheduled visit. Supporting documentation will be required at check-in.
  • Wear a mask or face covering at all times when in an information session or in a classroom. The mask or face covering should be secured under your chin and over your nose.
  • Remain physically distanced from other guests.
  • Cancel your visit if you are experiencing any symptoms or are feeling ill. To cancel, please email using the subject line "Visit Cancellation".

Join us for an in-person, student-led tour of UMD's campus and learn more about what it's like to #BeATerp! This is a great opportunity to hear directly from a current student about their experiences at UMD and get your questions answered, all while exploring our beautiful campus. Registration is required. See available dates on our calendar.

Learn about UMD and our application process from an admission representative, followed by a student-led campus tour! Registration is required. See available dates on our calendar.

If you are bringing a group of 10 or more high school students, schedule a group tour. Groups of prospective college students will take a 90-minute walking tour of campus led by a student guide. Registration is required.
