The University of Maryland Welcomes Counselors for NACAC!

Planning to attend the 2023 National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Conference in Baltimore, Maryland? While you’re in town, we hope you’ll visit the University of Maryland (UMD)!

We are the largest land grant university located 20 minutes from our nation’s capital and 45 minutes outside of Baltimore, MD. We’ve planned a number of opportunities for you to tour UMD’s beautiful campus and learn more about our institution and admission process. Below you will find more details and registration information.

Tuesday, September 19 | Counselor Information Session & Campus Tour

While visiting UMD you will hear from an admission representative and current students, learn more about our admission process and explore our campus during a student-led tour. Transportation will NOT be provided for this visit. Registration is required.

Choose from the following time slots:

  • 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
  • 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday, September 20 | On-Campus Counselor Program

Join us for an on-campus, half-day counselor program to learn about our admission process, hear from current students and enjoy brunch. You’ll also take a student-led campus tour, explore a resource fair and try our very own Maryland Dairy ice cream! Transportation will be provided to/from the Baltimore Convention Center. Registration is required.

Event Overview:

  • 8:00 a.m. | Check-in & Board Shuttles
  • 8:30 a.m. | Shuttles Depart from Baltimore
  • 9:30 a.m. | Shuttles Arrive at the University of Maryland
  • 9:45 a.m. | Brunch, Presentation & Student Panel
  • 10:45 a.m. | Campus Tour
  • 11:45 a.m. | Resource Fair
  • 12:30 p.m. | Board Shuttles to Return to Baltimore
  • 1:30 p.m. | Estimated Return to Baltimore

Thursday, September 21 | Counselor Information Session & Campus Tour

At this time our Thursday information session and tour is at capacity. If you find this is the best day to visit UMD, we encourage you to stop by our Visitor Center during business hours to pick up a map (and a special gift) before heading out on a self-guided tour.
