Get one-on-one answers to your questions about the university, our programs and services, and the admissions process. Come in Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., (excluding university holidays) on a walk-in basis for assistance. Just check in at the lobby of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, located on the ground floor of the Mitchell Building. Attending walk-in hours is not an admissions interview and does not have any influence on your admission decision, invitation to a special program or eligibility for a merit-based scholarship. We do not evaluate transcripts or provide academic counseling during walk-in hours.
If you are visiting campus when a visit option is not available or just prefer to explore on your own, you can take a self-guided tour of campus. All you’ll need is our UMD Student Affairs TerpLife app (for iOS and Android) so you can download our audio Terrapin Tour, and then you’re on your way. Visit the landmarks, attractions and facilities that make the Maryland campus one of the most beautiful in the world!
