Freshman Application Deadlines
The submission of your application indicates a serious interest in applying to Maryland. Students no longer interested in being considered for admission should send a written request to cancel their application.
Fall Admission
Priority Consideration Deadlines:
November 1:
Students should apply by this
date for best consideration, for merit-based scholarships and
invitations to special programs. Students who complete their
applications by this date will be mailed a decision letter by
late January.
This is not an early decision program; all admitted students have until May 1 to confirm their enrollment.
Please note: All U.S. citizens/permanent residents with any non-U.S. academic records must apply by this deadline.
International Students:
International students and non-immigrants currently holding or
intending to seek an F1 or J1 visa must follow the International Deadlines.
Regular Application Date
January 20:
Students who complete their applications by this date will be
mailed a decision letter no later than April 1. Applications
received after January 20 will be reviewed on a rolling,
space-available basis.
Confirmation Date:
May 1: Deadline for confirming fall enrollment and requesting on-campus housing/meals.
Spring Admission
Application Deadline:
August 1
Deadline for all U.S. citizens/permanent residents with
any non-U.S. academic records.
December 1
Applications will be reviewed for admission and decisions
released on a rolling basis for spring (January) enrollment. Due
to space limitations, applying early is strongly recommended.
International Students:
